Why is it defatted?
Because we do not grind whole pistachios, but the so-called pellet that comes out of the press after oil pressing. This is essentially the dry matter left from the nut, full of protein, fibre and minerals, and best of all, it can be used as a base flour, for example for pancakes, pies and shortcrust pastry.
You can also add it to smoothies, muesli or porridge.
