Homemade "Nutella" Spread
Ingredients
- 200 g hazelnut cream
- 50 g dark chocolate (70%)
- 150 g milk chocolate
- 5 g cocoa powder
- 150 ml milk
- 30 g milk powder
- 100 g sugar
- 5 g salt
- A pinch of ground vanilla
Preparation
Measure the milk powder and cocoa powder into a heavy-bottomed saucepan. Pour in the milk and gently heat over medium heat, stirring to combine the powders with the milk.
Add the sugar, vanilla, and salt, and mix well. Lower the heat, then add the roughly chopped chocolates to the mixture. Stir continuously until the chocolate is fully melted.
Finally, add the entire jar of hazelnut cream—oil on top included—and stir until the mixture is smooth and fully combined.
Transfer to a clean jar and let it cool.
Enjoy it on its own, spread on bread, or use it to fill pancakes. It also makes a lovely homemade gift.
